Johann’s High Notes chronicles our journey to mainstream our son, Johann, who is hard of hearing. We share here with you our challenges and struggles in our everyday life, but more importantly, our achievements and accomplishments as we advocate for hard of hearing children like Johann. As a family we know that Johann is special, as every child is, but not all families easily find comfort in this special task given them. Yes, it took us some time. We had our own share of denials, being angry, trying to understand, and then finally accepting that it is not going to be a smooth ride but Johann needs us, and we won’t be able to do it without love.

So, it is no accident that you are here. We wish to bless you with our experiences and make it known that though it is not easy, nothing is so hard that you can’t smile and be thankful for all the wonderful blessings that come with this special task.
